Ras Mohammed is a national park. This is a development free zone. There are no Hotels or other buildings here. Ras Mohammed is a 2 hour boat ride from Naama Bay where the day boats depart from. Here there are some big wall dives. Shark reef drops almost 800 meter directly from the surface. Here at Ras Mohammed you can see an abundance of life and is famous for the big fish and Turtle's. Barracuda are nearly always seen hanging out at Shark reef.

The dive sites in this area can have strong currents and can be a bit choppy. Nearly all dives are done as drifts. Because of the conditions these sites are not recommended for the newly certified or inexperienced diver. Most dive centres will ask you to do some local dive sites before letting you loose on Ras Mohammed.
